Funartech is a company based in Montreal, Quebec, whose mission is to apply its AI technologies to help projects that have a positive impact on the environment and society. Funartech has three divisions: business consulting, R&D and, more recently, products. Funartech helps companies implement AI solutions that improve their processes by 10, 20 or even 40% through prescriptive analysis and co-construction of solutions with and for its clients. All of its projects come from R&D and it also conducts fundamental research in AI in partnership with Prof. Gendreau of the École Polytechnique de Montréal in order to push back the limits of what is possible in AI, particularly with regard to injecting emotion into AI as well as developing an approach that allows for the development of true machine intelligence. Recently, Funartech won first place in an Aisin/Toyota competition out of more than 800 AI companies to solve a very complex logistics problem. In less than 6 months, Funartech was able to optimize this problem by 30% thanks to its hybrid ML/OR approach.
