University Technology Licensing
David is responsible for marketing the System’s intellectual property portfolio to industry and negotiating license agreements with business partners to commercialize technologies developed within the Texas Tech University System. Before joining Texas Tech in 2008, McClure worked for 26 years in Marketing and Refining with the Mobil Oil Corporation and Petro Stopping Centers, a Mobil business partner, holding various positions in retail marketing, pricing and supply, and joint venture development. McClure attended the College of William and Mary in Virginia earning degrees in Economics and an MBA in Marketing. He received certification as a Certified Licensing Professional from the Licensing Executive Society in 2014.
