Vegware is the global specialist in plant-based compostable foodservice packaging. Vegware’s catering disposables are made from renewable, lower carbon or recycled materials, and can all be commercially composted with food waste where accepted. The Edinburgh-based SME sells to 70 countries worldwide, and boasts Scotland’s fastest-growing export sales in the 2020 Sunday Times International Track 200. Vegware works with world’s largest contract caterers and distributors, helping foodservice meet sustainability and waste goals. Since 2010 Vegware has been working closely with the waste sector to actively increase client access to commercial composting. Now in 2020, trade waste collections composting Vegware’s products are available to foodservice businesses in 55 of the UK’s largest cities, covering 72% of the UK’s urban population.
