With decades of experience in high-risk food operations, I specialize in risk-based PDCA compliance techniques, ensuring alignment with GFSI standards, HACCP principles, and regulatory frameworks across diverse food sectors. My expertise spans food safety auditing, quality management, thermal processing, dairy pasteurization, aseptic and UHT processing, and low-water activity (aW) food production.
As a Lead Food Safety Auditor at Intertek SAI Global, I conduct 2nd and 3rd party audits for major global food safety and quality programs, including SQF, Codex HACCP, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, and private-label standards for leading brands such as Coles, Woolworths, Amazon, McDonald's, and Costco. My role requires in-depth evaluation of compliance, food safety culture, and risk mitigation strategies.
Previously, as Group Quality & Food Safety Manager at Doehler Group (Australia & New Zealand), I led the development and implementation of food safety, compliance, and quality assurance programs. I managed regulatory aspects, including FDA compliance, supplier performance programs (HACCP & VACCP), and external audits (Halal, SEDEX, CSR, Fairtrade, RFA). I spearheaded process automation, lean manufacturing, and digital transformation initiatives, enhancing efficiency and compliance visibility.
My experience extends to organic, fresh produce, meat, poultry, and seafood processing, including farming, slaughtering, processing, packaging, and distribution. I have successfully developed BRC-certified sites, implemented vendor quality management systems (VQM), and optimized supply chains to ensure food safety and regulatory adherence.
Proficient in Vendor Management, risk management, and compliance automation, I leverage data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. My background in post-harvest technology and agricultural science further strengthens my ability to integrate food safety principles with production efficiency and sustainability.
