As a seasoned CEO with a rich background in business, technology, artificial intelligence, computer-vision, manufacturing, electrical engineering, data management, and cybersecurity. I bring a wealth of experience at the board level across various industries. My leadership approach centres on driving strategic growth and digital transformation initiatives whilst mitigating risks through collaboration and sound decision making. I am very proficient at providing guidance on IT and AI system enhancements, optimising business processes, and leveraging emerging technologies to boost operational efficiency and productivity, especially through the use of advanced artificial intelligence. I have previously developed ethical and responsible AI capabilities for organisations.
I passionately align with Mark Twain's quote: "The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." My "why" is clear: I aim to work with companies, individuals and organisations committed to making a positive impact on the world including philanthropic companies. I am particularly rewarded by assisting start-up and scale-up companies that share this same ethos. There is an immense sense of pride in “paying it forward”.
In 2015, I founded Deep Recognition, now known as TRU Recognition. This pioneering company leverages cutting-edge AI technologies to deliver seamless, responsible, and reliable solutions. Under my leadership, TRU Recognition grew from a two-person startup to a robust team of 28, deploying advanced technology solutions to various billboard companies across the United States within a few months of inception. At Simplot Australia, where I served as eBusiness Information and Technical Service Manager, I enhanced revenue streams through digital platforms and led large teams focused on business intelligence, database management, security, ERP, collaboration, and digital systems to achieve strategic goals.
My educational background is in Electrical Engineering, complemented by numerous certifications from esteemed institutions, including, the Australian Computer Society, Cisco, and Microsoft. I am actively involved with professional organisations such as the AIM, AICD, the Association of AI Ethicists, and the Association of Futurists, demonstrating my commitment to continuous learning and industry contribution. Currently, I'm completing my certification to become a Futurist, further establishing my ability to drive appropriately guided technological innovation and strategic growth.
