Many global cities are experiencing rapid urbanisation, climate change, floods, droughts and dwindling water resources; resulting in poor water supply, pollution incidents and sanitation issues. These water issues cause tension and undermine public health, economic activity, social wellbeing and in extreme circumstances lead to public discontent. In order to confront and address these issues a paradigm shift is required. Indeed we cannot guarantee the rains but we can maximize the utility of water at every point of use. The current linear water supply and management model of “”take, make, consume and waste” which is universally adopted throughout the world is not sustainable. Tapiwa is the innovator of AquaCITY. AquaCITY is an innovative software that brings the concept of Water Circularity to life. A first-generation platform to integrate smart telematic monitoring with AI technology, to generate detailed insights into water usage activities, specifications, and even water offset credits, ensuring ongoing compliance and sustainability in perpetuity. This software incorporates an interactive Geographic Information System (GIS) tool that revolutionises the way water use is monitored, ensuring compliance with the latest standards and specifications. It comes equipped with built-in triggers that alert users of abnormal or excessive consumption, pipe bursts, etc. This innovative software together with smart water efficiency technologies are easily portable and transferable to various jurisdictions. In the UK we are delivering homes just using 65 l/p/d, even Singapore, renowned to have the best water system, is targeting 130 l/p/d by 2030, we can reduce that figure by a staggering 50%. In existing buildings the system can reduce residential water consumption by 20% to 40%. Our solution is targeted, specific and surgical thus delivers a strong case for value for money and addressing client sustainability and ESG goals. We are working with cities, hotels, resorts and businesses global to deliver water neutrality, water resilience and water self sufficiency. Tapiwa provides a broad range of international civil engineering, utility and energy strategy, water supply and sustainable design expertise at all project stages from project conception to detailed design which enables him through his companies to satisfactorily service a broad range of sectors; housing, mixed-use developments, commercial, leisure, resorts, hotels, academics, health, infrastructure, and regeneration markets. Key skills include successively building and profitably managing one of London’s largest Civil Engineering, Highways and Public Realm design teams delivering approximately 100 projects per year.Tapiwa has had the opportunity to work on many high level critical projects both in the UK and internationally. Owing to the high level of innovation Water Offsets Ltd has won Connected Places Catapult and Innovate Edge competitions to participate in the Water Resilience Programme in LATAM and the Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) Net Zero, Singapore 2023 respectively.
