About the University
Inventions, discoveries and technologies are flowing through the innovation pipeline at NDSU. The NDSU Technology Transfer Office (NDSU/TTO) works with the NDSU Research Foundation (NDSURF) to facilitate transfer of intellectual property (IP) conceived and developed at the university. NDSU/RF provides several mechanisms for industry to engage with NDSU researchers and access NDSU-developed IP. Mechanisms include: licensing patent or other IP rights and creating spinoffs and startups. The current Intellectual Property (IP) Portfolio offers licensing and startup opportunities for technologies in agriculture, biology and medicine, chemistry and materials, electronics and sensors, mechanical innovations, nanotechnology, paints and coatings, software and algorithms, and green technologies.
