The Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) at Lehigh University (LU) manages, protects and licenses to industry, the intellectual property developed and created at Lehigh, while serving faculty, staff and students in all aspects of intellectual property. The OTT identifies, evaluates, and facilitates the transfer of intellectual property from LU to the private sector. The OTT screens inventions and discoveries made in University facilities for patentability, commercial potential, and general marketability, compiles lists of technologies available for licensing and of patents issued, markets LU technologies/patents to companies and negotiates licensing arrangements or start-up venture formation.
