About the University
The Georgetown University Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) was instituted in 2002 to underscore the University's commitment to protecting the intellectual property and interests of Georgetown researchers and to strongly engage Georgetown in the economic development of the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The duties of the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) include management of Georgetown invention disclosures, patenting and licensing activities, oversight of material transfer agreements and confidentiality agreements, and engagement of Georgetown University in the founding and growth of local businesses.
