Challenge

United Living are seeking innovative solutions or expertise to be able to predict the risk of groundworks failure based on the Tunnelling & Excavation metrics solely on date, location, ground information from new and old bore hole data.

Solution must be able to utilise the following data to predict risk:

  • Previous projects to capture characteristics
  • Borehole data vs depth and location
  • Best and worst case based on existing borehole data
  • Water information such as season or recent rainfall
  • Ecology effects
  • Crossing type (rail, river, road etc)
  • Machine library type
  • Past tunnel design information

All data will be provided by United Living.

The solution should accurately predict what we will face within 80% success rate and ideally once trained be aiming for answers within seconds/minutes.

The solution will need to present information to a non expert/ non technical level.

Ideally the solution will have the ability to integrate or facilitate AR visualisation of the results.
