Challenge
The Chewing gum product development team is seeking auto coating machines that have capability of running the typical coating process of pellet gum eg. syrup dispensing, powder dispensing, flavor dosing, drying, exhaust, data recording per industry-scale auto coating machines with minimal monitoring from operator. The team is looking for additional functionalities as well eg. powder feeder being able to dose in fine powder particles of <150µm, temperature control for coating syrup.
The auto coating machine should work per industry-scale auto coating machine with minimal monitoring from operator. And meet the requirements below:
- Small batch size for lab use, approx. 1.5kg coating batch
- Similar footprint as current auto coating machines which we are using in the lab (Current: 900cm (l) x 950cm (w) x 1230cm (h))
- Programmable coating steps to support different coating applications
Mondelez are not interested in:
- Manual coating machines, bigger capacity coating machines >1.5kg
At this time Mondelez are only seeking to explore commercial ready solutions, preferably with sales & technical support staff in Asia.
