Our core VQe technology is a proprietary and patented 'cocktail' of light energy. It is a non-UV, chemical-free, natural solution that delivers cleaner, fresher food with a longer shelf life, reduces food waste, and improves food safety across the entire fresh produce supply chain from producer, packager, retailer to consumer. For growers, VQe delivers and boosts plant growth, yield, and health and simultaneously kills pathogens such as bacteria and mould, which cause spoilage. 

Our VQe devices have been independently tested and have received EMSL certification for their ability to comprehensively kill a range of pathogens including common foodborne pathogens including E.Coli & Salmonella, Staph, and MRSA.

In the growing phase, our technology can stimulate and accelerate the growth of crops, boosting yields and improving produce quality whilst simultaneously providing active pathogen protection to safeguard against common foodborne illnesses. Our high-efficiency devices minimise energy usage to keep costs low for the extended operations common in the growing environment. 


For post-harvest pre-packaging, a high-power version of our VQe combines with UV to provide a fast, chemical-free, comprehensive sterilisation system to treat produce and packaging before sending it to retail stores, ensuring maximum food safety for the supply chain by killing foodborne pathogens including E.Coli, Salmonella, Staph, and MRSA. The system is deployed in a treatment tunnel that can be placed over conveyors for streamlined usage. 


In retail, our VQe devices can extend shelf life by stimulating the cells and combatting pathogens, delaying senescence. Retail Supermarket testing on our VQe systems alone has achieved a 50% shelf life extension for premium-cut meat and significant reductions in odour and ice discolouration for fish. In the same testing, our devices saw a 29.85% average reduction in fresh vegetable produce wastage across 79 different varieties. The devices also help to maintain a sterile environment in display cases, reducing the chance of cross-contamination between produce.
