We have developed technology that remotely and passively monitors behaviour and flags potential mental health events (depression, anxiety, stress, PTSD etc).
About
The primary goal of our technology is the early detection of depression events or physiological disturbance using only passively-recorded signals from smart phones. Combined with algorithms to create a system that can help identify events earlier (e.g. depression episode, stress level changes, anxiety, PTSD and off-medication behavior) than current intermittent clinical evaluations allow. This is completed using only signals and measures from smartphone sensors such as accelerometry, gyrometric, heartrate & exercise data, gesture and usage patterns: every app open, every app installed, time spent in each app, every unlock all timestamped to form a complete daily picture of behavior. Our longstanding partnership with Lockheed Martin and DARPA has helped us develop 3 core technology components: - a phone app that runs in the background collecting data-points (can be a stand alone app, or embedded in an existing app. - server storage technology (we have over 1.4 billion data-points). - multiple algorithms to baseline and monitor our known mental health stressors and event indicators. We monitor micro deviations of 7 key behavioral indicators. Our technology has been installed on over 700,000 devices, is robust and fully tested.
Key Benefits
Passive monitoring of mental health permits early action to assist people. We help people understand the triggers and behaviors that may lead to a mental health event. We help employers understand why someone may be having a tough time at work and take action to help them.
Applications
Staff well being is increasingly an important role for employers. Our technology and help flag stresses or employees that may need assistance. Perhaps this is just a day off work, perhaps it is just a simple chat. Either way the goal is to help the employee perform and understand the triggers that could lead to a mental health event.
