Metal bashing, cutting and burning stuff! I have been lucky enough to have had a varied career in a number of different industries, predominantly involving sheet metal fabrication. In my early career, I was employed by a world leading "wide band-saw" and saw-milling equipment manufacturer. During my time there we developed a new range of low cost vertical and multi-head horizontal resaws, which are used for primary and secondary timber processing,right up to complete sawmill systems. This process involved many disciplines including concrete & steel foundation design, large & small steel plate fabrications, precision machined component manufacture, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuit design. Following on from cutting stuff, I was employed by one of the UK's major gas, multi-fuel and wood burning appliance manufacturers. During my time there we made significant advances in understanding wood combustion, which resulted in producing appliances that had very low CO, CO2 and particulate emissions. This on-going research and development process is now prototyping an ultra low emission, dual burn chamber appliance which will surpass the emissions standards due to come into force in 2022. LoHydroGen Limited was created to support and nurture interesting ideas and solve problems, from drawing board to reality.
