Alex Baker has over 17 years’ experience in the UK and International Fleet and leasing sector, most notably in senior commercial roles at GE Capital and Lloyds TSB leasing divisions. He launched Fleet Innovations Limited, which served the Fleet and Business driver sector with an HMRC-compliant mileage claims technology solution. His experience in, and deep knowledge of, the Fleet-market, coupled with his focus on innovation helped him to form and mobilise the CleanCar.io system. CleanCar.io is solution aimed at fleets and consumers that use GPS data collected by an app or small plug and play device to show if someone is suited to an electric vehicle and the potential cost savings. Alex is involved in a number of international grant-funded projects looking at solutions in the vehicle to grid, e-mobility, and connected and autonomous vehicle sector. Through the use of Big data and real-world behaviours, Alex has helped customers to not only understand what they do today with their vehicles, but what changes would benefit them the most. With a focus on electric vehicles. Alex has a unique mix of skills, having significant experience on the ground in the fleet/transport sectors coupled with the ability to envision, build, implement and commercialise useful software systems to help with future transport decision making.
