Synthetic Polymer Chemistry, Circular Economy, Bioplastics.
An expert in synthetic polymer chemistry, specifically focusing on the development of functionalised biodegradable polymers derived from naturally-occurring sugars. With a PhD from Imperial College, London, obtained in 2008, I possess extensive knowledge and experience in the field. I have gained significant expertise in the circular economy, particularly in the context of the bioplastics industry. I have founded Emnandi Bioplastics with the goal of driving the industry into new arenas, emphasising the principles of the circular economy and expanding into new and niche applications. Additionally, I have a diverse background in the commercial disciplines of the aluminium, oil, and gas industries. Over my 20-year career, I have managed multi-billion-dollar investments in prominent organisations such as ExxonMobil and BP, operating on a global scale across regions including the United Kingdom, Southern Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. My experience in these industries provides me with a comprehensive understanding of operations and challenges.
