Summary This PC-compatible software provides a technology update for existing SSL SSX-100 X-ray spectroscopy instruments, which were originally controlled by a HP 9000 computer with commercial HPBASIC software. The software enables the use of a modern PC to control an existing SSL SSX-100 X-ray spectroscopy instrument, improving performance and data transfer to modern PC and Macintosh computer systems. The original older HP computer is now out-dated and awkward for data acquisition and data transfer to modern PC and Macintosh computers.
