About
Today, current physical training methods are often costly, time consuming, and inefficient. In order to provide a better physical training experience, a new technology at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) has been developed by researchers called Team Suit Up. The new technology currently consists of a set of 7 wearable bands that record and play back motion through wireless haptic feedback. The technology uses a sensor unit to determine the user’s 3D orientation in space, which is compared to the recorded position to determine the vibratory error signal to produce on a user’s band. By providing the vibratory feedback, users are able to correct the motion they are seeking to learn in real time. The WAG System has the potential to be used for patients in physical therapy as well as be integrated into exercise plans for athletic training. The WAG System is a device that will work in any market that utilizes repeatable motion and feedback. Key Features Motion training Wireless Motion capture Vibratory haptic feedback Voice control
