Varroa mites are the leading cause of beehive collapse and bee deaths. Our device solves this problem by detecting varroa mites in beehives before it is too late. We use a gas sensing system to tell beekeepers if their hive has varroa mites, what infestation level it is at, when to treat, how to treat, and if treatments are working. This saves hives that would typically be killed by mites, reducing time and money spent by beekeepers who have use harsh chemicals on all their hives to blindly treat or physically sample their hives to check for mites.

Our target market consists of commercial (50-500,000 hives) and hobbyist (1-49 hives) beekeepers.
