Applications
Our initial Initial focus is on helping patients struggling with infertility and their IVF treatment through vaginal delivering of micronised progesterone. This market opportunity significantly expanded: in Nov 2021, ground-breaking new official UK medical guidance was released from NICE: now vaginally delivered progesterone is recommended to reduce miscarriages. >150,000 women p.a. in the UK alone are now covered by this guidance for up to 80 days. Other promising clinical / OTC applications can be considered for our platform: A) In Hormone replacement therapy (HRT), estrogen can be delivered vaginally, but has similar issues to progesterone in terms of leakage / messiness / user experience issues B) OTC potential (Vaginal Candidiasis, Hemorrhoids, etc.) C) Rectal suppositories as a means of protecting certain prescription drugs (and drugs in development) from Phase 2 metabolism
