Description   Leptospira is a major veterinary pathogen and can cause a life-threatening disease in humans. Current vaccines provide limited protective value. Yale researchers have generated a live, attenuated strain that provides significant protective immunity. Vaccination with this strain protects against a lethal challenge with various live Leptospira species. OCR6320 is a safe and efficacious novel vaccine candidate for the treatment of Leptospira infections.
