New, patented, cost-effective and easy-to-set-up alternative to the established market of holograms

About

Transparent 3D displays with the effect of content floating in the air (branded Kino-mo) Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRX6lZJ3H50&list=UUjXJbPLEhpgTixFIIFFvlCg Disruptive technology in outdoor advertising. Kino-mo displays, unlike any other displays available in the market, boast complete transparency and create astonishing 3D effect of content floating in the air. With a low prime cost of £180 per unit, such displays can be considered as cost-effective and easy to set up alternative to holograms, bringing small-sized and medium-sized hologram-like solutions to mass market. Kino-mo displays are often confused with holography due to the floating in mid-air 3D projections looking alike holograms. The latter require time-consuming and custom installations of equipment, which makes the mass market expansion challenging. The main disadvantage of holograms is perceived to be the requirement of a specifically dedicated installation space - any objects placed within this space disrupt the complex set up of light projections. Another essential challenge is a complex procedure of creating the content for holograms. There are a number of companies that offer custom holographic solutions such as concerts with holographic characters. Such shows are extremely expensive to arrange and require long preparations. As for holographic displays, there is currently one company in the world, AV Concepts (www.avconcepts.com), offering such displays which comprise of a box with holograms displayed inside this box. Such systems are bulky, expensive, lack the floating in the air effect and require developers with certain coding skills to create the content. In addition, currently there is no universal solution for small-sized and medium-sized holograms, which would also allow making use of the space required for holograms projection. Kino-mo technology allows building displays of the sizes larger than the current one in a straightforward way. We aim to create several sizes of Kino-mo displays, including the big ones with ~3 meters in diameter. All displays will be designed such that they can be either attached to the wall, hung from the ceiling or placed at a desired spot with a stand.
