This trip buddy utilises artificial intelligence and the Internet of things from our Cortex platform, and provides anyone travelling for leisure with an assistant to get them the possible deals and a tour guide with a world of knowledge. For booking and holiday curation it will take advantage of the artificial intelligence. It can also act as a tour guide by using a combination of artificial intelligence and augmented reality to provide travellers with information on their location or to act as directions.   How it works; Traveller downloads the trip buddy app and logins in with pre-existing Virgin Atlantic details or can sign up. They are then asked a series of questions such as; what seat do you prefer in a plane, if you are a smoker and travel budget, what are your interests. Will prompt for calendar, contact and email access for the travel arrangements and constantly monitor Calendar to know the dates of travel needs Contacts to choose the best emergency contact i.e. wife and booking purposes Email for booking purposes and meeting purposes Card Details for booking Passport information Traveller puts in their where they would like to go, their budget and what kind of adventure they would like to go on e.g. exploring, sightseeing, honeymoon and food tasting. On the day of travel, travel will alert you when it’s time to get ready and notify you if you have requested a taxi to let you know it is on the way and show you your boarding pass. And prompt you will a reminder list for documents and security. On the way to the airport, you can look at your itinerary and look at any delays weather at destination, arrange for pick up or buy transport tickets. On arrival at the airport. Your trip buddy will take you to the nearest available self-service kiosk and baggage drop. Traveler arrives at the kiosk, it welcomes you by name, it will confirm your travel arrangements, prompt you to scan the passport, traveler weighs bag, attached the RFID baggage tag (for tracking their luggage for both Trip Buddy and airline) then direct you to Security and lounge. Trip Buddy and Kiosk communication – On traveler’s arrival at kiosk the kiosk will emit and ultrasound which is pick up by the traveler’s device in turn Trip Buddy send your travel information to the kiosk You will then be shown directions security and airport waiting area. While you shop relax and enjoy, you won’t need to wait for announcements as the Trip buddy will prompt you when your gate is ready and when you need to start boarding. She will also direct you to your gate so no need to look for signs. Traveller arrives at the gate kiosk will prompt you to recheck your passport. Trip Buddy and the kiosk – Kiosk emits ultrasound which prompts Trip Buddy to send board information to Kiosk. Trip Buddy will then direct you to your seat, and show you the entertainment and choose food from the inflight menu, or assistance. Upon arrival will direct you to baggage area and show you when your baggage approaches for you to collect. Trip Buddy will guide you to security and then guide you to transportation. Trip will show your hotel information, once check in Trip Buddy can become your room KEY and room service for the room and get anything you need. Trip buddy then becomes your personal tour guide while at your destination, it can tell you information about art, take you on a sightseeing tour, tell you the best hangouts day and night or even guide you on a hike. It can take advantage of augmented reality. During any points of your trip the buddy will remind you to take photos and at the end of the trip it will create scrapbook and slideshow of the trip for you to share.
