About
Cosmixxology spawned from the imagination of a single mother who struggled with finding products that worked for her daughter. After spending money on brand after brand and not getting results she started making her own product on the stove and later started her own brand. In 2016, she combined her knowledge of Manufacturing, Cosmetology, and I.T. to avoid, mess, and waste by creating The Cosmixx machine.

Our target customers are African American (AA) and curly hair households and women between the ages 30 to 65 with an income of $60,000 plus. AA possesses a spending power of $1.2 trillion, and that number is projected to rise to $1.5 trillion by the end of 2021. In 2018 the Black hair care industry raked in an estimated $2.51 billion, as AA consumers have progressively made the switch from general products to those that specifically cater to them. In 2017 AA captured 86 percent of the ethnic beauty market, accounting for $54 million of the $63 million spent, Nielsen reported. In 2017 AA also spent $127 million on grooming aids and $465 million on skin care, according to Essence.
