About

SolCold develops coatings that use solar radiation to cool. The coatings have film or sticker structure and after installation don’t require any sources of energy or treatment beside being exposed to the sun & sky. The coatings incorporate 3 technologies: (1) Strong solar reflection. (2) Anti-Stokes cooling (which uses a specific chunk of light to cool). (3) Radiative cooling. Coated objects are cooled to 12°C below white paint and 5°C below shadow. A coated truck or silo will require less or no active method of cooling (like AC). Our coatings cool 24/7, especially during the day.

Key Benefits

(1) Sustainable passive coating to replace or reduce active cooling infrastructure (2) Lowering OpEx (3) Lowering CapEx (4) Can be installed after market (on already produced objects) (5) Short ROI (generally less than 1 year) (6) More than 20 Successful pilots including on beverage trucks in Brazil.
