About Pre-visualisation tools for animation have been developed which marry up storyboard entries and soundtrack to give a sense of the finished product in the form of a so-called ‘animatic’. Animatics bring a film storyboard to life by combining and synchronising the storyboard with its soundtrack. If the storyboard entries are converted into a vector graphics format, such as Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG), the animatic can also be used as a web-friendly design and publicity tool.
