The invention is advantageous over other existing solutions because the solar cells are not embedded into the surface so they can be transferred easily.
About
Summary A method for providing convenient readily available solar energy to the general public. This invention uses a photovoltaic layer with a protective covering that can be modified to fit any rigid flat surface. The solar energy captured by the photovoltaic layer is stored in a standard USB-type charger for easy access by the general public. The invention is advantageous over other existing solutions because the solar cells are not embedded into the surface, rather, they sit on top of the surfce and can be easily removed and transferred to other surfaces. Instead of using a single solar panel as the energy source, this method uses uses individual solar cells that can be arranged into a solar panel covering that fits the specific application -- thus allowing the panels to cover rigid, flat surface with varying shapes without being constrained to a standard geometry.
