Smart Antenna Technologies currently holds over 60 patents/patents pending providing technologies which can be integrated to form the single antenna system concept. SmarTenna® is a registered technology trademark defining the combined antenna element and antenna tuning circuit/algorithm to create the antenna system. The technology itself is under ‘patent’ protected but also the antenna tuning ‘hard to copy’ due to the complexity of the embedded chip. SAT designs use the latest CST Microwave Studio and ADS CAD tools. Design files are flexible for a range 3-D Antenna constructions: depending on application and customer needs, including foil, copper, metal stamping, FPCB, MID LDS and LTCC. SAT mainly operates under an IP license model, providing design package and the customer manufacturers the antenna system through manufacturing partnerships. SAT provides custom design service for a customer specific application through NRE. SAT has developed a supply chain to allow standard products to be manufactured and delivered to customers.
