MultiPass is smart-ticketing as a service; a cloud-based, end-to-end, smart ticketing platform for public transport, based on contactless EMV. Its four components are: 1) contactless bankcards / wearables; 2) EMV readers; 3) the ticketing cloud; 4) the user app. When the wearable / bankcard is tapped on an EMV reader (readers are implemented from scratch, built on existing infrastructure, or already in place), the information is sent to the ticketing cloud. The cloud, reader and user app then interrelate to manage security and user journeys. The app also allows users to search and buy tickets plus manage their payments, railcards, travel history, tickets and more.
