Showerkap's automated platform continuously monitors, reports, anaylses and improves water use and efficiency, driven by three elements, Nexus, Marshal and Ripple. Together they address the water and energy sustainability challenge through a holistic approach that integrates engineering and behavioural science.
Nexus - The shower system has a unique valve with integrated smart box connected to flow meters that capture water usage data, including flow, temperature and time. It uses a patented simulation - gradually reducing water temperature and prompting the user to finish their shower earlier.
Marshal - Harnessing the data from Nexus, the water management system provides detailed analytics in a cloud-based platform, providing property managers with systemic monitoring and macro-level insights into water and energy usage within a bathroom/room. This includes water safety monitoring, CO2 emissions and leak detection. Accessible through a user-friendly web application.
Ripple - The behavioural science-based mobile application, utilises data with personalised 'nudging' giving users control over their water usage. By leveraging the insights from Nexus, Ripple empowers users with control over shower time, providing data on water, energy and CO2 use, and rewarding reductions in consumption.
Sentinel - Showerkap's diversified water management product contains the smart box unit with the same advanced data technology. Flow meters capture water usage data, including flow, temperature and time, and web application (Marshal). This system has been developed to fit in any building capacity.
