X-TRA Guard is a rowanberry extract with natural organic acids (22-24%). As a result, it's an excellent inhibitor of yeast and mould growth to extend shelf life.

Due to its natural organic acid content, it performs well as a natural alternative to potassium sorbate with like for like control against yeast and mould. Its already proven in several applications prone to yeast and mould growth with challenge tests and commercial launches in applications such as baked goods (e.g. cakes), soups/sauces and beverages.
