riji cups are made of plant fibre material and formed into the desired size and shape which can be used for hot or cold liquids such as soups and juices. Capable of reheating in a high powered microwave oven at high speed it is ideal for the fast food industry when being reheated. Coated inside with a moisture barrier provides extended shelf life that the fibre material could not manage on its own as it is porous in nature. riji products have passed migration limit regulations for cooking to 240C and been tested for pulpability (recycling in the waste paper stream) and composting which is another form of recycling. KCC has developed a manufacturing system for coating the cups at our factory in Hampshire.
