Optimization of the cutting of materials to minimize losses due to waste, reducing the amount of material used to manufacture a chip. We have done a similar work for Saint-Gobain.
About
we develop efficient optimization models to solve industrial problems such as the optimization of the cutting of materials to minimize losses due to waste. This reduces the amount of material used to manufacture a chip. We have already implemented a similar algorithm for glass cutting for Saint-Gobain : Artelys has designed an algorithm to generate cutting plans for commercial parts in glass plates. In particular, it allows minimizing losses due to scraps as well as the impact of defects. This algorithm has been implemented in C++ to ensure direct interfacing with the machine tools.
Key Benefits
This reduces the amount of material used to manufacture the chips as well as minimizing the size of the chip.
Applications
Manufacture of chips and other electronic devices
