Linear Diagnostics' Linear Dichroism (LD) detection technology is a unique system for the rapid detection of a wide variety of pathogens: Fast, customisable & multiplex capable.

About

Linear Diagnostics (LDL) was spun out of the University of Birmingham to commercialise the founders' expertise in Linear Dichroism (LD) technology.

Key Benefits

LD is an optical technique that uses polarized light to detect diseases. This allows it to ignore a wide variety of sample contaminants. It is easily capable of multiplexing - detecting multiple different diseases and/or targets and can return a result in less than 10 minutes.

Applications

The detection system is based upon the target binding to a proprietary scaffold and causing a detectable signal change. The binding agent is typically an antibody that is pre-conjugated to the scaffold. As such any disease can be detected. The system can be used for testing of any liquid or water soluble target sample.
