NeoSpectra sensor utilize FT-NIR spectroscopy technology, a technology that had been proven and used in labs for long time ago, what is differentiating about NeoSpectra is being a miniatured sensor technology on a single chip which allow for rugged portability and instant reliable in field analysis, also among the miniatured NIRS sensor in the market NeoSpectra enjoy the widest wavelength range of 1350nm – 2500nm which makes it closer to lab performance. On a technical side, NIR spectrum consists of overtones and combination vibrations of molecules that contain CH, NH or OH groups, the existence of such bonds within the GHGs composition makes these gases detectable and quantifiable by NIRS.
