It assesses the sequence relationships among phages at the gene level and provides a visualization tool that presents this information at the genome and phamily level
About
Summary Phamerator is a collection of computer programs that is used for comparing the genomes of sequenced bacteriophage genomes. (Bacteriophages are viruses that infect bacteria.) One can use Phamerator to view the relationships between bacteriophage genes, and to see how related genes are distributed throughout the genomes of the bacteriophages. This makes it a useful tool for those who are interested in the evolutionary mechanisms that have given rise to particular genome organizations in the bacteriophages.
