Paul-Tech combines together real-time proprietary soil data with other data sources and translates this into practical insights while eliminating the need for manual data analysis.
About
Our unique USP is our real-time measurements from the soil, the correlations we get from these measurements and the algorythms that translate this data into practical insights.
We can measure in real-time(every 2h) from the soil in two different depths (8 and 20-25cm):
- Nutrients
- Nutrient availability
- Soil water availibility
- Temperatures
Measurements are based on eletronical parameters but we measure multiple parameters at the same time (one of them being EC). Our calculation models remove the dependancy of water in EC measurements.
This approach is totally unique and provides new level of insights for everyday decision making and assessing the whole seasons productiveness
Key Benefits
By using our system it is possible to make following decisions:
Fertiliser usage:
- when the applied fertilisers are dissolving in the soil (usually we see big gaps of 2-4 weeks between application and when granular fertilisers dissolve)
- is there need for additional fertiliser based on soil data
- assessing the whole season effectiveness wether all the given fertiliser have been formed into yield or there are unused nutrients available for the next crop and therefore giving farmer the chance to not apply any additional fertiliser while drilling winter crop
- monitor leaching processes and any nutrient runoff
Any spraying work (plant protection, pesticide, fungicide, growth regulator etc):
- we can detect when the plant is experiencing stress situation (excessive water or drought stress). While excessive water from the field can be detected via optical solutions then drought stress is very hard to detect by above the soil solutions.
- monitor if excessive irrigation can block out the nutrient availability from the soil for plants
Applications
- Arable crops
- Horticultural crops
- Perennial crops
