Celbius has developed a technology for enrobing seeds, grains, pulses, flakes and other granules with our low sugar natural colourants that are extracted from fruit and vegetables.

About

Celbius pigments are extracted from surplus fruit and vegetables.

These low sugar, highly concentrated antioxidant liquid pigments can either be used alone or further formulated into a palette of colours for creating new variations of food ingredients.

Key Benefits

A broad range of food ingredients can be coated and the resulting products used as visually appealing, nutritionally enhanced ingredients.

Furthermore, it has been shown that such coated grains and seeds can be used in typical baking situations with the colours able to withstand baking heat, both internally and externally on foods such as flapjacks and muffins.

Applications

The target market is foods and food ingredients looking to switch from chemical derived colours to naturally derived pigments that are nutritionally beneficial for the consumer and environmentally friendly.
