Tracking contaminants in hydrocarbon emulsions can be difficult. Acid washing, drag reducing agents, sand and frac fluid all have their challenges when entering production and refining facilities. I would like to develop a cost effective measurement solution to allow these facilities to flag and quantify these contamination issues.

Pipeline contamination affect the lifecycle costs of all pipeline, pumping, and refining processes and can cause unplanned problems due to internal corrosion, erosion, increased maintenance due to equipment fouling and reduce life expectancy of catalyst beds . Theses contaminates need to be recognized before entering your facility or pipeline so that they can be addressed prior to causing damage. A significant risk of a shut in exists if these contaminants are not eliminated. In addition penalties can be levied against the offending parties as a financial risk.
