Software that optimises construction movements through the last mile, addressing challenges of safety, noise pollution, air quality and increasing efficiency
About
Kerb Construction is a software application that optimises the management of construction movements through the last mile in communities, addressing challenges of safety, noise pollution, air quality and increasing efficiency. The construction industry turned over £370bn a year by 2016, and in 2021 the 'project starts' forecast alone ranges between £10-15bn. All of these projects and sites need materials transported to and from sites in as efficient a manner as possible. Kerb Construction does this by digitising the management of the last mile movements of all these vehicles, reducing time and material waste, and increasing operational and environmental efficiencies.
Key Benefits
By digitally creating and operating a series of virtual holding bays the following benefits can be realised: -Smarter traffic management providing visibility and coordination of last mile vehicle movements -Data and analytics capture to demonstrate compliance with agreeing routing and vehicle movements -Reduction of excess vehicle mileage, reducing environmental impact and fewer site impacts on local communities -Reliable and timely deliveries; supporting the economics of a construction build schedule -Optimised site movements leading to improved safety for site staff and pedestrians -Digitised efficiency reduces driver & traffic marshal stress, with the increased transparency and accountability leading to fewer community impacts
