Applying Rawwater's leak sealing solution used in electricity substations, without an outage, for sealing other industrial leaks.

About

Rawwater is an SME specialising in innovative leak and defect sealing. We have been working with National Grid Electricity Transmission to pilot and start to roll out our leak sealing technology M3CollarCast to seal SF6 leaks on ancillary pipework connections of Gas Insulated Switchgear. M3CollarCast is designed to be applied while the asset is still in service so no need for an outage. The means leaks can be sealed without having to wait for the next planned outage, and without disrupting the electricity supply across the UK.

We are also developing M3Spray - an innovative approach where our alloy is sprayed directly onto a flowing leak or a defect. This can be used to repair liquid leaks and has the ability to be deployed remotely via robot or mechanical arm.

Key Benefits

Operation Efficiency - stop wasted energy in your processes through leak and repair them without switching off the

Reduced emissions - from direct leakage or from unnecessary processes such as generators working harder than they need to

Reversible solution - can be used as both a short term fix and a long term repair

Minimal surface preparation - the sealing can be quick and efficient

Applications

Electricity substations - both gas and air insulated

Leakage from generator systems meaning they run inefficiently

Any industrial process which could leak
