K2-CO2 was founded in 2022, from an idea and the will of a couple of founders: Alessandro Monteforte and Bret Ruess, both in the Industrial Air Pollution Control since more than 20 years.They noticed the lack of real, immediate and sustainable decarbonization solutions the Industrial markets.At K2-CO2, we are accelerating CCUS with integrated turnkey plants, capable of delivering 90%+ CO₂ reduction from hard-to-abate industrial flue gas with solutions ranging from tail-end Potassium Carbonate carbon capture to integrated systems for emission compliance, heat recovery, carbon capture and conditioning.We hinge on our team, that has a strong background in Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Air Pollution Control and Waste Heat Recovery systems on industrial flue gas and on the support of the HPC Carbon Capture core technology provided by our licensor Giammarco-Vetrocoke S.r.l., that invented it in the ‘50s.

This product is versatile and virtually independent of the CO2 source.The captured CO2 can then be either stored or used as a resource for producing new sustainable products, paving the way for a circular economy.We do not offer the technology itself but provides turnkey plants, freeing the customer from the hassles of project management.
