A simple and easy-to-use software that digitally collects patient responses to evidence-based questionnaires
About
Drug-use disorders affected 35.6 million people globally, according to 2018 data published by the UN (https://wdr.unodc.org/wdr2020/en/exsum.html). Despite the strong evidence-base for standardised assessment instruments, translation into clinical practice is challenging due to time constraints and the administrative burden associated with paper-based assessments. iAx was developed by health practitioners for health practitioners to improve the assessment and treatment of substance-use disorders quickly and effectively “on-the-ground”. The simple and easy to use iAx software digitally collects patient responses to evidence-based questionnaires to inform clinical pathways to treatment quickly and effectively. Patient data is visually represented in charts and graphs for immediate interpretation by the clinician and enhances understanding for the patient. Patient responses to the evidence-based questionnaires can be collected on a tablet or PC using any operating system. No identifying data (name, date of birth) is collected, ensuring patient confidentiality. A unique patient identifying code is used to link the patient data to the patient’s file on the clinic’s system. Surveys pre-treatment and at three subsequent time points visually represent a patient’s progress across the course of treatment. The unique patient identifying code automatically retrieves past data to generate visual representation.
Key Benefits
• Removes time barrier for scoring and interpretation in the clinical setting • Easily modified/interchanged for different validated measures (eg: cannabis, alcohol, opioid use questionnaires etc) • Instantly scores responses, benchmarks data against clinical averages • Visualises results in colourful graphs or charts for immediate use by the practitioner • Evidence-based questionnaires include data capture on the severity of symptoms, frequency of cravings, and patient confidence in controlling addiction • Progress tracked overtime to facilitate treatment adjustment • Assessment easily administered via any operating system, including a tablet • Uses a unique identification code ensuring secure patient data
