About

The subject invention is a software toolkit to help Emergency Medical Services (EMS) managers track employee turnover and its associated costs. Employee turnover is time consuming and costly. The inventor believes that tracking turnover and its associated costs can guide recruitment and retention program adoption and lead to improved stability in EMS agencies. The algorithms for quantifying direct and indirect costs were developed as part of a study funded by foundations and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The toolkit is available at www.emsarn.org under the toolkits page.
