E2metrix has developed ECOTHOR‚Ñ¢, a proprietary electrochemical system for the clean and economical treatment of a variety of industrial and municipal wastewater, along with landfill leachate, groundwater and other process water streams.

About

ECOTHOR can operate in three different modes: electro-oxidation, electro-coagulation, and/or electro-disinfection to target removal of contaminants using including Ammonia nitrogen, Phosphorus, Metals including Cu, Zn, Ni, Mn, As, Se, Coliforms, Pathogens, bacteria, suspended solids, complex hydrocarbons, cyanides, thiocyanates, fluorides, particulate BOD/COD, micro-contaminants (including PFAS, hormones, pharma waste). With its energy-efficient design, less than 1 kWh of electricity is consumed per m3 of leachate. Combined with its proprietary magnesium anode and its efficacy in zinc removal (up to 80%), the installation can provide a short payback period and up to 90% reduction in OPEX. Municipal and industrial sites can now discharge the leachate safely and cost-effectively without affecting the environment.

Key Benefits

In landfill applications, this solution can removes more than 226 g of zinc per day
