The innovative technology at the core of the Dynescan semen analyser applies statistical physics to light intensity fluctuations in a microscopy video to extract key parameters of the % motility and speed of spermatozoa in a semen sample. The Dynescan semen analyser is robust and portable providing users with the ability to perform lab-quality measurements at the farm.
Key Benefits
The advantage of this unique and patented technology is that is can be used across a wide range of concentrations from sexed through to fresh semen. Vets have discovered that samples that can sustain motility for more than 2 hours provide conception rates that are 8% higher than other, thus helping farmers to retain £46,000 each year for a herd of 1000 cows and reducing dairy cow methane emissions by around 2.5%.
Applications
The Dynescan was brought to the market in 2022, one year after development began and has been bought by semen production companies for research and by vets to provide new services to farmers. We believe this is a technology that can be used at every stage from production through to the farm, ensuring that AI straws retain their integrity to provide the highest chances of conception for efficient livestock production.
