A downhole electric operated device will temporarily collect a sample of produced fluids, and from that provide estimates on water content

About

I have long experience and proven track record in inventing and developing complex wellbore technologies, including real time sensors, electric heating, pumps for artificial lift, and much more. Combining some of the technologies I have developed with a new idea, I believe I can design and successfully wellbore apply a device that solves the challenge stated.

I propose to downhole collect and temporarily contain a sample of produced fluid, heat this in the contained chamber and from that estimate water content versus oil content.

Key Benefits

The solution solves the challenge posted on Leading Edge Only, and will provide better inflow analysis for the reservoir- and production engineers. Also I believe it can be used to increase daily production and ease the transport of the heavy oil to the surface.

Applications

Heavy oil extraction, world wide
