Commonplace allows people to engage with the places they live, work and enjoy, in order to accelerate positive change through co-creation and data-driven decisions.

About

Commonplace works to connect communities with decision makers who create the places they live, work, and enjoy. We aim to help developers, local authorities, and other organisations co-create with the community to produce inclusive solutions for the built environment. Through our modules, you can engage with the community on issues that matter. Our Community Heatmap allows users to provide place-based ideas and feedback, by pinning them to a map. Through our Design Feedback module, you can present plans in an intuitive and accessible way, across thematic ‘tiles’. Tailored questions will allow you to crowdsource feedback. Commonplace enables broad community conversations, and transforms them into data-led understanding, to allow for more inclusive decision-making. Our dashboard enables easy and accessible data analysis in real time, where you can view all visits and comments received, and reply individually if needed. Commonplace is fully GDPR compliant in managing data. Commonplace is highly versatile and has been used across sectors and policy themes, engaging the public on a large scale with high levels of clarity and transparency. Examples of areas include transport; built environment; health related policies; youth and education; economic development and regeneration. To date we have engaged 2.5 million people in the UK through the platforms we provide to our customers.
