Applied as a plate outside the vehicle tank, allowing to modify the fuel atomic properties. Independent tests results in 40-60% lower NOx & CO and 7-10% less CO2 and fuel consumed
About
At Muon we have developed a unique technology that is cheap & non-invasive, and enables to generate more stability in fuel molecules. The technology is currently applied as a small plate outside the vehicle tank. We have currently tested the system with independent third-party vehicles and precision emissions monitoring experts (PEMS tests) with consistent and very encouraging results. So far we have achieved tailpipe exhaust emissions 40-60% lower in NOx & CO, up to 99% less Particulate Matters numbers and simultaneously we have achieved 7-10% less CO2 and fuel consumed. Benefits are huge for both vehicle owners and for cities & society, and if combined with the extremely low cost of Muon Technology, between 20 and 30 times cheaper than existing retrofit/catalysts, that makes our technology a game changer in the fight of urban air pollution and climate change. The work behind Muon Innovation has been going on development for over 10 years to bring the technology at the current reliability level and consistency of the tremendous results in emissions reduction and fuel consumption saving achieved. Another advantage is that once the process is performed treated fuel maintains the new enhanced stability. Muon Technology has been currently designed and produced as an individual vehicle application in the form and shape of a small (2-inches by 1-inches, and only 0.12 inches thick) and very light (around 30 grams) aluminium plate, making the product incredibly powerful but at the same time incredibly cheap and easy to install.
Key Benefits
By applying our technology on Internal Combustion Engine tanks we are aiming to achieve huge benefits for both vehicle owners and for cities & society, that when combined with the extremely low cost of our technology (20-30 times cheaper than existing retrofit/catalysts) makes Muon Innovation a game changer in the fight of urban air pollution and climate change. Based on the independent test conducted, we can achieve consistently up to 10% fuel consumption reduction which today more than ever (with fuel price sky rocketing) will have a great impact in economic growth and business opportunities. In terms of potential benefit we wants to report just an example. If we apply our technology to start with into the HGV fleet in the UK, with 16.6 Billion miles covered nationwide every year, at 9 miles per gallon = 1.84 billion gallons. CO2 emitted per gallon are on average 10.9kg, hence annually HGVs emit 20 billion kg or 200 million tonnes of CO2. Moreover, assuming a conservative 6% saving achieved by Muon Technology, we would be able to save 12 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. That without considering the enormous saving for Freight companies in terms of fuel, which in itself will boost economy, make UK businesses more competitive and will pay directly for our technology, which in effect will result in a zero extra cost and many benefits. On the latter, one of the identified early adopters, Mike Newman haulage, has estimated that 10% reduced fuel consumption may have an economic benefit as much as £25k per year per each Lorry. To these economic and climate change related impacts, our technology innovation will also deliver reduction at tailpipe exhaust emissions of up to 60% in NOx & CO, and up to 99% of less Particulate Matters numbers emitted.
Applications
The product is incredibly powerful and can be deployed in any diesel Internal Combustion engine tank, at an incredibly cheap cost and extremely easy to install. So far we have focused on developing the application for road vehicle engines through the use of small plates to treat fuel in a non-invasive way at individual vehicle point (outside the fuel tank). However, we know already the process can be done either anytime post refining of the fuel, or before being delivered to the petrol pumps, reducing even further the costs of the technology. This is possible because another advantage is that once the process is performed treated fuel maintains the new enhanced stability. Other potential areas of applications are in the construction and agriculture industry sectors.
