Cirrus Guardian PEO reduces the energy required to protect light metal components by up to 95% (vs. traditional PEO / MAO systems). The Guardian technical breakthrough generates a PEO with a higher temperature plasma while consuming significantly less energy. The process operates at room temperate eliminating the need for cooling, offering further energy savings. Room temperature operation also prevents cracking and deformation of the surface; while the eco-safe chemistry allows for nitride and oxide doping of the surface to control porosity and adjust the look and feel of the coating. The metallo-ceramic coating offers durable, beautiful feeling and looking surfaces from a coating only 10 microns thick, therefore allowing fine details and contrasts to be clearly visible / felt. Finally, this technology can coat multiple components made up of different alloys and materials simultaneously, making it an effective solution for processing finished products.
